A jury in Dalton, Ga. returned a verdict for $760,000 in compensatory damages and $240,000 in punitive damages for a woman who was injured when a furniture/appliance store failed to properly install a Sub-Zero refrigerator. The refrigerator fell over and pinned this wife and mother of three against the counter in her kitchen. The Dalton area is known for low jury awards, so this verdict is a significant triumph.

Mr. Brooks previously obtained a million dollar plus verdict in a case in Covinton, Ga. The jury returned a verdict of $10,000,000 for a young lady who had been injured when a grocery store failed to keep its store safe for its customers. This is a record verdict for Newton County.
